Roundy's plans to open supermarket in spring of next year

Roundy's, a supermarket chain dominated by former Dominick's executives, will open a full-fledged grocery store next year in the Lakeshore East condo and apartment complex, the developer confirmed Monday.

The new supermarket, yet to be named but to be called something other than Roundy's, is slated to open in spring 2011 at 333 E. Benton Place, inside the The Village Market at Lakeshore East, said Brian Gordon, vice president of development for Chicago-based Magellan Development Group.
